Physicians Formula Organic Mascara

So who's the chick who puts on mascara and then maybe an hour or two their eyes are BURNING ... *raises hand* ...

I've been having this issue for a long time but always just figured my eyes were sensitive to the things outside such as dust .. trees .. pollen etc !!! Well lately I've noticed that when I don't wear make up on the weekends i'm good .. My eyes don't burn or anything ... So I decided to Try ....

Physicians Formula
Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara

Their products have
  • no dyes
  • parabens
  • no synthetic preservatives
  • clumping
  • smudging
  • fibers
  • dye
I have been SUCCESSFULLY Using it for the past 3 weeks now and I am in love! I was scared that because it didn't have dye I wouldn't have the dramatic look i'm use to having. Well I was definitely WRONG! It slides on just like regular mascara and it gives me the same look that i'm accustomed to.

My eyes ADORE me now. I haven't been rubbing them and they don't burn anymore like they use to. They definitely don't clump, smudge or feel heavy. I am so grateful to finally find a product that I can deal with! The Price for this is $10.99 but as always i'll be looking to find deals lol ...

Living this natural life is easy huh? ...

OPI Ogre-The Top Blue + Sally Hansen Gunmetal

Holyyyyyy @$*#%$

Photobucket

So I've been eyeing this blue for the past 3 weeks. I would go into CVS pick it up.. Put it down.. Pick it up .. Put it down !! Finally this morning I couldn't take it anymore! I had to get it.
The name is OGRE-THE TOP BLUE and it's from the OPI Shrek Collection. *shivers*
I cannot wait to try this color on.

The Sally hansen is Gunmetal and it's like this unique silvery/metal feel to it. I think it's going to make me feel like I deserve a guitar in my hand while wearing it.

I think i'm going to end up getting the ENTIRE collection. These colors make me weak in the knees!

Mini Twists Styled

So here are two ways that I've been wearing them all week basically. Lol ... I'm so overit.org but i'm still at least trying to maintain them until the end of next week.

I just flast twisted the left side going to the right and the same with the back and pinned it up with bobby pins.

This is a simple style that I mainly wear everyday lol. Two flat twist one on the left and the right while leaving the back out.

Mini Twists ..For How Long?

So I decided to do mini twists on my hair this weekend. I already knew before the week was out that I was going to do them but I wasn't sure when. Well Friday night ended up being the day.

On a DIRTY old braid out I decided to twist my hair into 6-8 big twists. I then shampooed my hair with V05 Clarifying shampoo (While the twists were in). I washed that out and conditioned with Suave Almond n' Shea Butter conditioner then I let it air dry afterwards for about 2-3 hours.

I watched KinkyKurlyQueen's video on tension blow drying which is basically holding your hair out away from your face and gliding the blow dryer against it. There is no comb, dryer attachment, or paddle brush involved. I did this to stretch my hair out on low heat. I unravled each twist that I still had in my hair to continue with this method.

I applied EVOO to my hair and twisted it back up and this is the results from the tension blow out.
Photobucket

And as you can see it didn't fully stretch my hair out but definitely MORE than it would have been had I not done this method.

Photobucket

For my twists I only used Jane Carter's Nourish n Shine only a tiny amount on each twist and to seal my ends. I started my hair around 8pm Friday night .. Went to bed at 2am. Started again at 7 and finished around 12pm. It didn't take as long as most people think.

Photobucket

The HUGE Question is how long will I keep them in ? lol I don't know because i'm already over it .. and it's only Wednesday ..ha I will at least try to survive through next week!

I Used To Love You !

Baby when I used to love you, there's nothing that I wouldn't do. I went through the fire for you, do anything you asked me to, But i'm tired of living this lie It's getting harder to justify. I realized that I just don't love.. Not like I  used to !!!!!!!
- John Legend

So with that being said here is a product I use to LOVE ... I wouldn't go to the store w/o purchasing MORE of it but now I just don't love it anymore.

$5.99
16oz

I use to WORSHIP This stuff all last year after my BC 2010 !!! Before the jar was halfway through I would purchase another jar just to make sure that I had more. I told everyone to get THIS no questions asked. It made my hair shiney, defined my curls and eliminted frizz.

Fast Forward to 2011, Nowadays this stuff HATES ME! I can't use it in my hair because it just sits there now. We use to have such a great relationship but now not so much ! It doesn't moisturize my hair ... It takes forever to dry and weighs my hair done. :( I still have half a jar left and will probably give it to my mother!

SH: The Real Teal + Essie: Big Spender

Love Both of these colors!

Essie = 1 Coat
SH = 2 Coats

Sally Hansen- Mint Sorbert

Gorgeous Color! You definitely have to use more than one coat to get this in depth color if you want but I love the color! I think the only collection I really love by SH is The Xtreme .. I've gotten great results so far.

Puff + Bangs

So I've noticed that when I wear wash n' go's I'm always wearing a head band to pull my hair back. I haven't seen any damage or looser curl patterns but I wanted to try my best to eliminate that period.

I took out a section of hair in the front and twisted it while I gel'd the sides using the clear Eco Styler gel. I tied the ouchless goody band around twice and pulled it back until I got the desired style. Then I untwisted the bang and flipped it backwards so it would create a hump, then I pinned it on the side.

Pinned Up Slanted Twist Out

Last night I decided to detangle my hair after I had my single strand knot break down. I was wearing a wash n' go so instead of washing it completely and using detangling I decided to do it a different way. I mixed EVOO, V05 Clarifying conditioner and Water together in a bottle and started the detangling process. I detangled in small sections and twisted each one. I didn't apply any other product to my hair after that. I put on my silk bonnet and went to sleep.

This morning I seperated the twists with a dab of EVOO on my fingers. I pinned up the back first and then decided to pin up the left side and leave the right out. I really loved the hair style and got a lot of compliments on it. We know I loveeeeee compliments LOL! Needless to say I found a new style on accident!

Single Strand Knots

Aka Fairy Knots!

Single Strand Knot aka Fairy Knots
When the hair forms into a knot that cannot be done. This has to be cut out of the hair to prevent further damage.

This has got to be the MOST stressful part for me being natural. Lately I have gotten so many single strand knots it's not even funny. Because I have "Hand in hair" syndrome I am always touching it when I get the urge and what do I feel .. ARGGHHH a Knot. It's so bad that I can pull it down and see the knot attached to another piece of hair. What can you do besides cut it off? N.O.T.H.I.N.G ! Of course I don't mind cutting hair because i'm scissor happy but I don't want to be FORCED to cut it either!

I've noticed that when I do Wash n' Go's I experience more single strand knots than I should. I feel like I can't take anymore. It's so frustrating seeing them or feeling it even when you're detangling. I Love my wash n' go's, but I think now that my hair is a little longer I don't want to shoot for 2nd or 3rd day hair. I believe that's what is causing frequent knots. Although I could be wrong that's what I believe.

Hopefully i'll be able to scoop up some coconut oil today and make that apart of my daily or weekly regimen to see if that works. I read using more oils in your hair helps to prevent fewer single strand knots. I'll be trying different styles besides wash n' go's to prevent this sh*# from happening.

Sally Hansen - White Crackle

The Story
I'm an OPI girl to the core but here's my confession...... *Looks around* OPI is hard to find and sometimes I look for dupes to fulfill my polish junkie needs! ...And this is no exception. OPI came out with their black shatter and stole hearts all over the world. So naturally no one wants to be left behind so other companies started coming out with their own version of the shatter. Of course they all use the world "crackle" instead, which makes me laugh lol. So CVS had SH Crackle on sale at CVS and they have tons of colors;, gold, pink, blue, silver, purple and white to name a few. I decided to pick up the white because it was really the only other color I wanted.

The Reaction
It's Decent! I can't totally throw shade at Sally Hansen for the try but I love the feel of my OPI Shatter's better. The formula in the OPI version is very super thick and the SH feels like regular nail polish that you're using, so that's one PRO I can give this polish. I honestly think it's just a personal preference because i'm an OPI chick! I can tell that if you're heavy handed with the SH crackle you will not get the crackle effect nearly at all. I used it extremely light and it took a while to start cracking, unlike the OPI that dries extremely fast as soon as you use it. Overall the SH crackle isn't bad for the typical polish girl. I  can see myself picking up the pink just to see how that will look over a soft nude color! ...

Renpure Organics Conditioner

The Story:
I have been eyeing this conditioner for a while but it's price tag of $7 and up has always made me turn the other cheek. finally I caught it on sale at one of my fav stores "CVS" for $4.99 and I picked it up so fast ! .. Their are other lines to choose from but because Natural Hair can tend to need all the moisture it can get I decided to grab this one.

The other lines consist of; My stylin hair needs strength, My foxy hair needs fixin, My savvy hair needs sleek, I love my hair and my luscious hair needs lift. The names alone are TO DIE FOR because i'm a sucka for great packaging.

Renpure Organics are all natural hair care products that contain no sulfates, no parabens, dyes or gluten!
"My Pretty hair is Parched"

The Reaction:
Died and gone to heaven! This conditioner is amazing. I cannot stress enough how much I love this conditioner. I have used great conditioners that are available on the ground like YES TO CARROTS Pampering Conditioner and this finally trumps that totally! The bottle isn't bad either it allows me to have a good grip on the product and a little goes a long way. The slip isn't too thick but it's definitely not thin either. I can coat my hair without having to use a good amount of the conditioner. After fully conditioning my hair I rinsed it out with luke warm water and my hair felt so amazing. It was entirely soft and manageable. Although I did not detangle my hair I could still run my fingers through it. I let my hair air dry over night while sleeping on my silk pillowcase and the next morning my hair was still soft and felt great. I will give this conditioner a definite thumbs up. I am now excited to try the entire line and even the shampoos.

Yay for Renpure Organics! .... for more information on their products click the link below
